Section 1: Governance Framework
1.1 Overview
The governance of the Cathedral Foundation DAO is decentralized, meaning that all major decisions, including those related to funding, project approvals, and amendments to the Constitution, are made collectively by CATH token holders. Governance is carried out via proposals submitted by members, followed by voting through a token-weighted system.
1.1.1 On-Chain Governance
All governance actions, including voting, proposal submission, and fund disbursement, occur on-chain through smart contracts. This ensures full transparency and immutability, as every action is recorded on the blockchain for community review and auditing.
1.1.2 Voting Power
Voting power within the DAO is directly tied to CATH token ownership. Each CATH token represents one vote. Members with a higher number of tokens have greater influence over decision-making. However, safeguards are in place to prevent governance centralization and ensure broad participation from all members.
